Oscar Muñiz-Luciano

Doctor of Dental Medicine

Dr. Oscar Mufiz graduated from the University Of Puerto Rico School of Dentistry in 1994. He later completed a Medical degree from the Central del Caribe School of Medicine in 1998. He completed his residency in Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery and a one year internship in General Surgery at The University Of Texas Southwestern Medical Center at Dallas, Parkland Hospital. He later completed a fellowship in Facial Cosmetic Surgery from the Willowbend Cosmetic Surgery Center-UT. He was trained by world renown maxillofacial surgeons Dr. Edward Ellis, Dr. Douglas Sinn, DR. John Paul Stella and Dr RV Walker. Dr. Muñiz is a diplomat of The American Board of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery since 2006.

Dr. Muniz was involved in teaching fourth year dental students and students that were interested in the field of Dentistry in Puerto Rico. He has lectured in Puerto Rico and the USA. He is an active member of the American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons and Texas Society of OMS. He has published important articles in the field of oral surgery (“Treatment considerations for the comminuted mandibular fractures”). Dr. Mufiz maintains a full scope Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery private practice in The Woodlands, Texas. He also enjoys sharing his medical and dental knowledge by helping organize and run health fairs that help reach children and adults that have limited access to
healthcare.
