Meet the doctors
Dr. Oscar Muñiz graduated from the University of Puerto Rico School of Dentistry in 1994. He later completed a medical degree from the Universidad Central del Caribe School of Medicine in 1998. He completed his residency in oral and maxillofacial surgery and a one-year internship in general surgery at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center at Dallas Parkland Hospital. He later completed a fellowship in facial cosmetic surgery at the Willowbend Cosmetic Surgery Center at UT. He was trained by world-renowned maxillofacial surgeons Dr. Edward Ellis, Dr. Douglas Sinn, Dr. John Paul Stella and Dr. RV Walker. Dr. Muñiz has been a diplomate of the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery since 2006.
Dr. Muñiz was involved in teaching fourth-year dental students and students that were interested in the field of dentistry in Puerto Rico. He has lectured in Puerto Rico and the US. He is an active member of the American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons and the Texas Society of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons. He has published important articles in the field of oral surgical treatment, including “Considerations for the Comminuted Mandibular Fractures.” Dr. Muñiz maintains a full oral and maxillofacial surgery private practice in The Woodlands, Texas. He also enjoys sharing his medical and dental knowledge by helping organize and run health fairs that reach children and adults that have limited access to health care.
Meet the doctors
Dr. Bernardo Roblesgil, DDS: Dr. Bernardo Roblesgil is an oral and maxillofacial surgeon who graduated from the University of Puerto Rico Medical Science Campus. He completed a four-year residency program accredited by the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery. As a dental student, he showed a special interest in surgery and became the first surgical assistant of a major oral and maxillofacial surgeon in Monterrey, Mexico, where he holds a DDS from the Universidad Autónoma de Nuevo León School of Dentistry.
In 2003, he moved to Seabrook, Texas, where he lived for 10 years. During that time, he worked in Baytown, Texas, alongside oral and maxillofacial surgeon Dr. Bobby Hughes. He was on staff at the San Jacinto Methodist Hospital starting in 2004. Eventually, Dr. Roblesgil opened his own practice in Pasadena, Texas. Two major hurricanes caused him to move up north and open a new practice. His clinical interests include impacted teeth, bone grafting, dental implants, third molar surgery, oral pathology, IV sedation and pre-prosthetic surgery. Dr. Roblesgil enjoys spending time with his family and friends. He is a soccer fanatic and likes to go camping with a close group of friends.
Dr. Roblesgil is a member of the American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, the Texas Society of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery and the American Dental Society of Anesthesiology. He is certified in Advanced Cardiac Life Support and Pediatric Advanced Cardiac Life Support.
